Southern Dunes Villas?
Do all Southern Dunes Villas have a games room. Ive booked through thomas cook, and we have been allocated a 3 bedroom villa for 2 adults and one child. And when do we get the code for the house safe to get the keys or do we get the keys from a resort office.
Southern Dunes at Haines City is a large subdivision of newish houses. Most are privately owned and a high proportion are rented out as holiday homes.
Some owners prefer to manage their own villa and advertise on websites like holiday rentals and vrbo (see below) Just enter southern dunes in the search box to see all the different properties on offer.
The downside of booking a package holiday with a villa through Thos Cook rather than direct from the owner is that you don’t know what you will be getting. They only guarantee that they will all be of a particular standard (which is high and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed)
You could enquire from Thos Cook whether only their premium villas have a games room (aka the garage – ok in winter but hot in summer)
otherwise you will just have to wait until you get there.
As for getting your keys you will pick up the directions to your villa from the rep when you get there and they will also give you the code for the key box which will be near or on the front door. They don’t normally send you hunting for a resort office.
Hopefully they will tell you all this stuff when you get your final details. And if they don’t well then they should !

Well, there are only two villas, and they both have four bedrooms, and they both come with the same amenities. I don’t see anything listed that says "game room" on their site:

It doesn’t say on their site when you get the code for the lock box, it might come with your confirmation information. If you booked through an agent or company, you need to lock down all the details through them ASAP.
